Prison island tour

Take a short boat ride from Stone Town to Prison Island, also known as Changuu

Island. This guided tour explores the island’s history as a former prison and

quarantine station, while also visiting its famous giant tortoise sanctuary.

You’ll have time to walk around the island, learn about its past, and observe the

tortoises up close. The tour also allows time to relax near the shoreline before

returning to Stone Town.
